OceanPixel Contributes to Mindanao's Sustainable Blue Economy at the 2024 Forum
Davao City, December 11, 2024 – OceanPixel joined forces with key stakeholders at the Mindanao Blue Economy Forum 2024, held at Acacia Hotel in Davao City. Organized by the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) and PIEP Cebu Chapter Inc., the forum focused on sustainable development for Mindanao's marine and coastal resources.
The event saw the launch of the Mindanao Blue Economy Stocktake Report, which provides crucial insights into the region’s vast marine potential and strategies for sustainable growth. In a notable highlight, OceanPixel signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), formalizing a commitment to drive scientific research and technological innovation in marine sustainability.
