(PIEP), and the PIEP Cebu Chapter Inc. to host the Mindanao Blue Economy Forum 2024 in Davao City. This landmark event brought together government agencies, industry experts, and educational institutions like the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) to explore sustainable solutions for developing Mindanao's marine and coastal resources. Key highlights included the launch of the Mindanao Blue Economy Stocktake Report, the signing of an MOU with USTP to foster research, and OceanPixel’s continued commitment to driving innovation in marine sustainability.

The Future Blue Economies white paper highlights 10 key sectors—marine energy, sustainable fisheries, aquaculture, and coastal protection—that can transform sustainability and economic resilience. It also explores case studies from the Philippines, the role of technology, and the importance of cross-sector collaboration to overcome challenges like climate change and overfishing.

OceanPixel is proud to be part of the Mitigation Action Facility (MAF) project in 2024, focusing on the Philippines' Tidal Stream Energy (TSE) initiative. This partnership aims to advance clean energy solutions, particularly for off-grid islands that rely on fossil fuels for power.
