Ocean Pixel, in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders, is excited to announce the launch of a groundbreaking project aimed at decarbonizing electricity generation on off-grid islands in the Philippines. The project, titled Philippines – Decarbonisation of Electricity Generation on Philippine Islands – Using Tidal Stream and Solar PV, seeks to leverage tidal stream energy (TSE) and solar PV hybrid systems to address the country’s heavy reliance on fossil fuels and the high costs of electricity generation.

Singapore – OceanPixel, a pioneering force in renewable energy and sustainability, is making waves in the marine energy sector through its partnership with the Singapore Standards Council. As a spin-off from the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University (ERI@N), OceanPixel continues to champion innovative solutions for Southeast Asia and beyond.

OceanPixel joined forces with key stakeholders at the Mindanao Blue Economy Forum 2024, held at Acacia Hotel in Davao City. Organized by the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) and PIEP Cebu Chapter Inc., the forum focused on sustainable development for Mindanao's marine and coastal resources.

The Seminar on Blue Carbon Policy, Regulation, and Technology brought together leading experts, policymakers, and researchers to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time—climate change. Hosted by key organizations, including the China Institute for Marine Affairs (CIMA), PEMSEA Resource Facility, and others, the event explored innovative approaches to leveraging blue carbon ecosystems for climate mitigation and resilience.

Melbourne, Australia – In a landmark event for ocean energy innovation, Melbourne will host the 2024 International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE 2024) from September 17th to 19th, 2024. This prestigious gathering marks the first time this global event will be held in the Southern Hemisphere, showcasing Australia's commitment to sustainability and its emerging role as a hub for ocean energy.

The Thematic Track Session 1.2, scheduled for Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. (GMT +8), will focus on Offshore Wind, Floating Solar, and Other Ocean Technologies, bringing attention to the significant potential of marine renewable energy in Asia and the Pacific.
